That's the official 2026-27 range across Florida's 67 districts and four grade bands, from the state's published schedule. Step Up For Students describes the overall average as about $8,000. FTC, FES-EO and PEP all use the same amount table.

Miami-Dade$8,745

Who sets the number?

Per the official schedule: "The scholarship amounts are established annually by the Florida Legislature in the state budget." So the figure refreshes every year — bookmark this page; we re-check it against the new schedule each cycle.

Multiply it by your family

Two kids ≈ $16,000 a year. Over a full K-12 run, a two-child family at the average award is in six figures of education funding. Try your own numbers in the calculator on our home page.

Remember: the money isn't income to you — it flows through your EMA account to schools and approved providers, or (for PEP) via reimbursement.
